Cynthia Ruth Ryals Woody, age 65, of Sanford, N.C., died Sunday, September 8, 2013, at Liberty Commons Nursing & Rehabilitation of Lee County.

She was born in Harnett County on May 21, 1948, to the late Lovett Baxton Ryals and Ida Dorman Ryals. Cynthia was the owner of Cynthia R. Woody Accountants Professional Accounting Office for many years and was a member of The National Association of Tax Practitioners and of the N.C. and Lee County Tax Practitioners. She was a member of the Professional Womens’ Association, served on the Board of Directors for the TLC Home and UPC Group Home, was a Member and Trustee of Hillview Christian Assembly and was also a member of Lee County Koats for Kids.

She is survived by a sister, Janet Cranford and husband, Barney. She is also survived by three nieces, two great-nieces and two great-nephews.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, September 10, 2013, at 3:00 p.m. at Lee Memory Gardens with Rev. Ray Bodin officiating. The family will receive friends at the graveside following the service. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
